I have been working with students since my mother ran a home daycare out of my childhood home, and my passion for working with children has never changed! I love teaching children and watching them grow into avid learners. I hope to continue to find fun and creative ways to teach students the joys of learning and being in a classroom.
I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder for my undergraduate degree and teaching certificate, then started my teaching career as a reading interventionist. I believe students come first and I will work hard to find what helps a student learn to the best of their ability. This fit in very well to the values at Smith, and in my second year here I am happy to call Smith a second home and a wonderful place to teach.
Outside of the classroom I love spending time with my family and friends in Denver and Fort Collins. I spend the weekends catching up on my favorite books and being outside as much as possible!
