Alexa Anderson

Mild Moderate & Special Education Team Lead

I am so excited to be starting my fourth year at Smith and am determined to make this the best year yet! I have taught Affective Needs at Smith for four years, and taught K-8th grade Special Education at a charter school in Denver for 2 years before making Smith my home. I graduated from St. Louis University in 2014 and from CU Denver with my Masters Degree in Teaching Exceptional Learners in 2017. Aside from teaching, I can be found hanging out with my pup, baking delicious treats, running or watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. I absolutely love reading inspirational quotes and my favorite is, “Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, then it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." - Albert Einstein
